I worked at Convey as my first job and became licensed in the states required. Upon being hired we were told that we would be paid 12.25 per hour if we were licensed. I became licensed and worked at this rate of pay for 5 months. Coming up on the 6th one day to the next , we were all told that although we were licensed, we were being demoted to CS Representatives and that our pay was to be slashed to 9.75. There were several times when I would come into work to see my coworkers taken out in Stretchers by Paramedics because they had Anxiety attacks from the job itself. There were also mistakes made with my checks as in lowered amounts certain checks (prior to the pay change and mass demotion of 100+ hardworking agents). I myself could not eat or sleep due to the stress for months. Management would avoid helping the representatives and hide at their desks or avoid doing any work altogether. Every single minute you spent in the building was clocked, watched and calculated. Due to high call volumes, we've had our breaks taken from us until things calmed down (which sometimes the high call rate lasted all day), there was mandatory overtime required of you regularly with almost no prior warning. I also filed for time off paid and unpaid on 4 separate occasions so that I may get my car registered with the state and was never allowed the time off and/or never replied to on the matter no matter how many times I asked about my requests even going as high as the Head of HR about it. There was only one manager I had that seemed to actually care for her employees as I was bounced around to every client department they had. They even forced us to come in on New Years after telling us we had it off and threatened to fire us if we didn't come in. After coming in, we sat there for two hours starting at 6am waiting for calls and after getting nothing, sent all of us home. I had Anxiety coming to work everyday. Literally the worst working environment I have ever had the complete displeasure of coming into contact with.
