Pros

Cook Childrens is a nice facility that is very kid friendly. It is always changing therefore it is a place that challenges you.

Cons

In my opinion they treat employees like just a number. They cut cost by trying to reduce salaries anyway they can. Doesnt feel as if you are being fairly compensated for all that you do because they put a lot on you.

Pros

Where else would you have clowns, dogs and professional muscians as coworkers while helping children get well? Cook Children's is a terrific place to work with everyone focused on treating the patient as a whole being and including family and friends in the healing process. Compensation and benefits are some of the best in the area.

Cons

Sometimes it is frustrating when administrative decisions are made that seem to contradict past commitment to employees. The instances stand out as they are (thankfully) few and sporadic. I think a lot of the issues arise because Cook Children's has experienced tremdous growth as a true Medical Center in the past 7-10 years.
