Pros
Where else would you have clowns, dogs and professional muscians as coworkers while helping children get well? Cook Children's is a terrific place to work with everyone focused on treating the patient as a whole being and including family and friends in the healing process. Compensation and benefits are some of the best in the area.
Cons
Sometimes it is frustrating when administrative decisions are made that seem to contradict past commitment to employees. The instances stand out as they are (thankfully) few and sporadic. I think a lot of the issues arise because Cook Children's has experienced tremdous growth as a true Medical Center in the past 7-10 years.
