Pros

At one point, it was a great job... but then the corporate greed machine got turned on.

Cons

Oh lort.... where to start? Let's go with the fact that a company that posts ~$300M in revenue brings in an entire fleet of new "C-Suite" execs (including a Chief Revenue Officer and Chief Offshore Development) in a short period starting last year, then has the sack to layoff over 60 good, hardworking, people as soon as the dust settles and blames a bad economy. That was only one of many terrible displays of their unethical practices. We went through 4 Managing Directors in 2.5 years, and they finally found their puppet, who never once bothered to properly or professionally introduce herself to her department. Her first email to us was an actual threat of our jobs, because we weren't being "utilized" enough. Let's talk about utilization.... The current CEO was formerly the CFO, and was the one that lit the utilization fire. It was a $4!T show from the very beginning, because the tool they implemented to measure, never worked, and still doesn't. We would have missing time entries from the "automated" system. and then burdened with trying to track it manually, and at the same time get scolded for having too much administrative time in the broken system. We finally stopped reporting the errors, because nobody ever listened. We were given an opportunity to voice our concerns to HR, but nothing ever happened. Perks of the job were stripped away unnecessarily, and morale quickly plummeted. We were never shown any amount of appreciation for working our tails off, just only told when we didn't do something correctly. The goal post was constantly on the move. The final blow was getting let go due to the "financial needs of the company", which was being replaced the very next day by someone with less skills who lives on another continent, because they were cheaper. I would say to not even bother applying for a position with the Service Desk, but they no longer value Americans and have shown that their only loyalty is to the revenue stream. So thankful to no longer be in the hell that this job was, I only miss a few of the good people. Here's a perfect example of the way it felt, quoted from another employee who absolutely nailed it: "The entire operation is entirely ego-driven. It has the feeling of a bunch of frat boys playing company. It would be difficult to express the rigid caste system in place. The company disgusts me on a daily basis. I look forward to quitting here as soon as possible. Advice to Management I hope one day, you all experience the degradation, hardships, and poverty you so casually inflict on others."
