The company is broadcasting that they’re booming and doing well, the reason I took the position. After confirming there was not a short term risk of job security I was let go 1.5 months into the role. I met and exceeded every possible sales and activity metric closing large scale deals with enterprise clients. Right off the bat was able to execute $235k in sales with a mixture of new and current business. The structure and business practices within the organization are non existent. Constant disconnect throughout the organization regarding sales processes, project management and most importantly client communication. There was no warning, as well as the day the first round of “layoffs” began, the meetings scheduled by our manager were communicated the morning of termination labeled with topics completley unrelated to the true reason for the meetings. We all joined our meetings scheduled one after another to unexpectedly notice HR and the new regional VP (hired 2 days before these events) also joining about 2mins into the call. The manager of the Midwest who we all reported to handled himself and the situation as unprofessionally and classless as one could. He said nothing but we were going to be terminated one after another throughout the day. Even after attempting to reach out following the shocking event my calls and texts were ignored. The values he communicated such as the importance of being honest, having respect for one another and developing friendship between the team can only be viewed as fiction and not elements he believes in. Being a high level performing right from the start motivates me to make others aware of the lack of respect and dignity this company displays and executes. Be highly suspicious of what you’re told if you are in the process for any role at this organization.
