Pros

I have been with this company since 2004. It was a great mom and pop business and we have survived and thrived the many ebbs and flows. The company has built a terrific brand name and is a leader in SLED. We have a great "commercial" client base that is diverse and exciting to work with. Work is the key here, you have to work and if you do, you are rewarded, if you are complainer you are out! We have great sr. leadership, a world class CEO, the best COO(not the actual title) in the business, A SVP of sales who actually has been in the trenches, a diligent and venerable CFO and a cast of great people supporting them!

Cons

Resources are always stretched extremely thin and we run after a number EVERYDAY, no letup ever. It is a tough pace and not for everyone. We drive to the cutting edge and sometimes we fall off that edge. We always make good with clients if we make mistakes. You have to report to an office EVERYDAY. This is my rule, so I don't see it as a con. But trust me some employees break my chops about it, I believe a culture starts with working TOGETHER!!! You are not allowed to clean your pool during business hours, you have to do that on your own time!

Pros

I’ve been with this company for a short time as a Systems Engineer. From senior management down the company is well managed, focused, and driven. My experience thus far with leadership, PM’s, AM’s, HR, and engineering staff has been nothing but positive. From day one it has been apparent that this company cares for its customers and its employees. Senior management charts a clear and well defined course for the company. The AM’s are focused on their customer needs and from my perspective they aren’t selling the flavor of the day. The sell what is necessary to fulfill the customers’ objectives today and into the future. When it comes to the engineering staff all I am going to say is that they have some very, very talented people who are more than willing to share their knowledge and help me out when I need it. If I am stuck on something that I don't have the time to figure out on my own, I can pick up the phone, get the help I need, and not have to deal with a condescending attitude. I prefer a dynamic environment where I am being challenged to expand my skill set and grow. That is precisely what I have found here at Core BTS. Anyone who works in IT and complains about being asked to expand their skill set should find another profession. The culture here is awesome. In my opinion it is a fun and fast paced environment. Our region has a great team mentality and ego's do not get in the way. I really look forward to coming to work here day in and day out.

Cons

Being objective, I am having a hard time finding a legitimate "con" to my employment here or with the company itself. I could say that I feel spread thin on a rare occasion but is that really a "con"? Personally I would rather have a heavy workload than a light one.
