      Awful company to work for

      Pros

      Weekends off was about all I can narrow down, no pros coming from this company that I would say is good enough to refer someone to work here.

      Cons

      Every which way I looked was a downside to working for Core-Mark. I was a driver for Core-Mark and you are over worked and underpaid for the back breaking labor you do. You are not paid by the hour, you are paid by a system they have. Employees tried to go union to only be threatened by management that they will be fired.

      Not open to any changes, Do not train employee . Do not appreciate employees at all. No safety procedure at all. Very Poor management

      A good company with opportunity for improvement

      Pros

      Core-Mark is going through a lot of changes and most of them are good changes. The company is always adding new customers and this has allowed employees to work steady hours and even earn some over time. Communication between management and employees has improved over the last year or two. Management asks for employee's feedback on improvements that need to be made. People are friendly and professional. The benefits and time off are good.

      Cons

      Hourly starting pay is only $9.50 but you can receive a few increases during your first year. Training wasn't quite long enough. More training could improve the efficiency and accuracy that is always being talked about in start up meetings.
