Pros

the health benefits and 401k match is great, vacation and sick time available are in line with industry standards for those who are not union.

Cons

i have to agree with the other reviews numerous ways to be fired ,and the turn over is profound even in this economic enviroment they still cant retain employee's. i am still employed there but i have been a witness to this and find it to be in shamefull.the way management carries itself in the warehouse is childish, unethical, and unreponsive to issues of safety concerns, and daily circumstances that arise. and the generall way in which people are treated there is very poor. we have had monthly meetings with the division president and every time someone tried to tell him about the warehouse management he just says not here and move one to the next person even though multiple individuals have tried to inform him of the very poor management. now we believe the only option left is to become union.

Pros

Core-Mark International is a place to start your career if you were fresh out of college. You do the grunt work, learn the ropes just enough so that you can look at opportunities else where. Yes, even the CFO admitted that when I left.

Cons

The style of work is very old school. Technology is bare bones. Process improvements are unheard of. There is no work life balance. Management in the finance/accounting team is horrible. I remember my first day on the job and an employee, someone I barely even knew, came up to me and said be aware of her or that. The turnover is extremely high so makes it very challenging to train new people because they would leave after a few months on the job!
