Pros

The company pays does pay its employees on time and there are some growth opportunities but many you have to move locations for, but that's about it.

Cons

Many Cons. If annual raise is even given it may be 13 cents per hour while working in these dangerous environments however many contracts are not even considered for raises at all although management receive big annual bonuses every year. Co. forces employees to work mandatory 12's and even up to 16 hour shifts due to constant shortages. Turnover rates are close to 50% average not only at the facilities but within the corporate office. The inmates are treated poorly in the facility. It appears the company is only concerned with growing and presents as though they really care, however the proof is in there actions as well as their extremely high turnover rates. I'm looking for something else as are many others. Just not a good company at all.

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately you are not able to see the whole picture. We do have different contracts and while some wage determination based contract s have no increases, some have substantial $1-$2/hr annual increases. for more factual information on the company please see our ESG report, the first of its kind for our industry. https://www.corecivic.com/hubfs/_files/2018-ESGReport.pdf

Thank you for your feedback. I disagree with your review as safety both for the staff who work at the facility and safety for the inmates or detainees in our care are the primary concern of CoreCivic.
