Pros

Managing at a yoga studio is a pretty great way to spend your days, I work with great people, teach yoga, and act as management at the studio.

Cons

The pay is nowhere near enough for the amount of work I do. The company as a whole does not pay enough.

Pros

I enjoy being an instructor with the company and teach at numerous locations. The student base is built in and easy to maintain and grow.

Cons

Management is young and totally inexperienced from studios, to regionals and even at the corporate offices. Pay practices are shady at best. Pay stubs are convoluted and mistakes in pay are rampant. Some practices associated with pay (or lack there of) are illegal. The more you do for the company, such as programming, the more likely you are to have pay issues.

Pros

The students are special and wonderful, the free yoga, the studio spaces. Some managers are really nice to work with.

Cons

Colleagues are unprofessional; pay is below standard for the amount of work and hours put in; the behind the scenes upper management is full of corporate greed. The view point of students from upper management is all $$. Teachers love their students and teaching but get a lot of pressure to sell the company's teacher training. The turn over is high. People are overworked, under paid. The benefits are embarrassing for such a big growing company. The company is horribly disorganized with many incompetent people in positions they've been placed in solely based on being "cute", in the right place at the right time, or because they simply need to fill the position because someone quit or the fact that they are growing faster than they can manage.
