Pros

Cornerstone is one of the most financially stable mortgage companies. The size of the company is perfect. Large enough to have all the tools you need but small enough that no one is lost in the crowd. As a loan officer you can originate loans and they will close and close on time. I have no regrets joining the company.

A great place to work!

Pros

Culture is a "get it done" attitude. Ops works alongside loan officer as opposed to against. Products available for clients cover a multitude of loan situations. We recently integrated a new group on the ops side whose sole responsibility is to help us structure loans and pair with the most suitable investor. This is a huge asset for my production.

Cons

Integration of a new loan software platform is always hard...especially when you are used to an old one. The benefit is in the automation which should put my "con" up in the "pro" section once I have had enough experience.

Flexible enough to take care of other needs and still make up my time. Supported by a great team of people. Office is central enough i could live anywhere

Cons

Higher management does not realize or care how understaffed we are. Too much talk about how the company is growing yet there's no monetary advantages for employees
