Pay is too low for the cost of living in the area, and when being promoted from associate to ASM I was only given a $0.50 raise which was very disappointing and eventually became my reason for seeking employment elsewhere Bc I had to seek a higher paying job to afford living in the area.

Under pay for the amount of work, key holder position doesn't mean anything, no consistent schedule. It's wherever the manager decides to place you and if you complain or tell them you're unable to work a day, you'll be met with "too bad, schedule is done. It's on you to look for coverage." No benefits, no promotions, very small bonuses called "SPIFFS". Everyone treats your like trash. Not a hairdresser or a licensed professional? No worries, the customers will make you feel incompetent for even deciding to work in this environment. You're expected to take down the percentage of how much the store has made per hour and write it to your dm, and if you're extremely swamped in that timeframe forgetting to put it in you get in trouble by your manager. You're expected to work alone majority of the time because there isn't enough hours for the store to have more than one person.
