      Dead-end job that will get you nowhere fast!!!

      Pros

      Steady work, lots of overtime if you are desperate for money, company gym, events with free food and prizes, employee contests, and that's it.

      Cons

      No room for advancement. If you stick around, you will do the same job for 20+ years. The management will work you like a horse with very low pay. Overtime is not worth it. Supervisors are a bunch of slave-drivers.

      Pros

      Employee of a nationwide company with benefits including 401K and medical. Work from home with lots of flexibility. You are required to meet a quota that is very uncomfortable for most Fee appraiser. With time restraints, you cannot do a thorough job and will work weekends to meet quota.

      Cons

      Under pressure to accept jobs (appraisals) and not turn work away even in areas where there are other appraisers closer by. Fees are low and insulting to the appraiser therefore, moral is low. Proper compensation should be job one to prevent turnover. How about paid vacation like most normal companies.
