Pros

Flexible Hours Flexible with scheduling PTO Ability to learn new applications (depending on your manager/supervisor) No micromanaging (again depending on your manager/supervisor)

Cons

Benefits are pricey Pay is low compared to the job market Executive Management has no idea how anything works (processes, applications, systems) Middle Management has no idea how anything works (processes, applications, systems) Around 2nd to 3rd quarter the company will announce that business is in the positive and there is profits by the end of 4th quarter the company will announce that the company is in the RED and that the annual reviews are frozen HR and Management has no visibility of their employees, HR and Management has allowed experienced and knowledgeable employees leave, leaving only the newer or non experienced employees to do the work No back filling positions what was once a 15 person dept becomes a 5 person dept + triple the workload The only way to move up in this company is if your "friends" with someone on top

Pros

*Nice new building in Irvine

Cons

*Multiple VP level associates, from HR to IT, purposely berate those who they perceive as less than them. They have plans to continue to lay off people every year to cut costs, but give senior leaders lavish gifts like $1,000 gift certificates to country clubs ON TOP OF pay.

Pros

It is difficult to think of anything good about the company as it exists today. Since breaking off from First American it has just been a steady decline in my opinion. The company is a decent place to work at least while you continue looking for a better position with growth opportunities.

Cons

Corporate innovation has pretty much equated to acquisition of other companies followed by re-organizations and layoffs as others have stated here. Corporate innovation is outsourcing. Offshore companies for "technical" talent. Dell for internal system and technical support. These solutions also contributed to more layoffs. Technical support went from good to terrible where submitting a support ticket was excessively frustrating. You had to submit a ticket to get status on an existing ticket. These executive decisions just caused a sharp decline in the overall quality provided for and by the company. Many good developers left who had pride in what they did and provided to others. As others have mentioned here bullying by management is par for the course. Executive management and HR representation is not onsite for a majority of the branches. If you are in a remote branch submitting a harassment complaint against a local manager does not even get a call back. The company has you sign off on harassment and similar policies but the company does not follow those policies from my experience. There is very little to no growth opportunities. Relatively flat, especially for technical staff. Local teams are about 4 developers with the rest staff augmentation. There just isn't any place to grow to. Other technical teams are hours away in a different city or state. Changing your password about every 2 weeks gets a tad annoying as well. I gave the company a little over two years to restructure itself since re-branding as CoreLogic and with most everything heading South, very little positives, and good friends and co-workers who had already left for greener pastures it was time to finally say goodbye and begin 2014 anew.
