Hire talent people but they don’t provide the needed resources.
Pros
Enjoyed many of the people I worked with. There are smart well educated people there.
Cons
Company relies heavily on the transportation division. They claim to be much larger than they really are. Take out the TPA, Property TPA, Transportation division, wellness company, etc and they are a small broker with extremely limited resources. Living in Iowa isn’t terrible but it sure isn’t great. They have offices elsewhere but the turnover is terrible in those areas. Benefits are poor at best (401k is pretty good). The company itself is successful because they work their employees to death with no help and make a good margin. ZERO training so if you are thinking about working here expect to get no help unless someone you work with really cares about you. If you are looking to get into the insurance world it’s a good idea. Look elsewhere to work however. Sales people show the team no respect and they don’t get any discipline. It’s like working at a sales office in the 60’s with no work life balance.
