Thank you for your commitment to our residents. Working with seniors is hard work but the relationships we build make the hard work worth it.

Pros

Form great relationships with residents. Every other weekend and holiday off. PTO for part time and full time employees. Provides trainings up to a certain point to increase your salary. Good for a first time job, but not something you can make a living off of.

Cons

Communication between management and Personal Care Associates (PCA) is terrible. Once you are disliked by a manager a target is put on your back and you can almost guarantee that you will be fired/harassed. There is a cap on how much you can make in your position so once you reach that cap you will not receive raises yearly. You must wait around 7 years to receive a cost of living raise after you reach your cap. The turnover rate is extremely high so there will be plenty of times that you will be moved in and out of different area's with little to no training. Shift wars are also very common and make the work environment hostile. The best thing to do is to come in, do your job, and mind your business. Never do more then what you are required to do because then it will be expected at all times even if you are short staffed.

Country Meadows is proud of the team we’ve put together and values every co-worker, regardless of his/her position. As part of our commitment to our team, we work hard to provide a full benefits package and wages that are very competitive in the senior living field. Co-workers enjoy opportunities to advance in both compensation as well as position, and Country Meadows offers “Career Paths” training for most positions and, when merited and possible, promotes from within to reward hard-working co-workers who have many success stories to share. Because we value our co-workers so highly, Country Meadows will terminate a co-worker ONLY when there is sufficient reason to do so. These decisions are never taking lightly. If you have concerns, please call our confidential compliance hotline at 888.470.3376.
