      Pros

      Stable due to union membership, decent salary and pension cant be beat. Benefits package is as good as they come, the pension in particular.

      Cons

      No room for advancement, promotion, or career growth. Favorites game is played, emphasis on butt-in-seat rather than talent or skill. Management makes decisions for no good reason other than "that is how we do things" even if its inefficient.

      I like the busy pace. There is always something to do.

      Customers are sometimes really irate and you are liable to be called names or to be threatened.
