Pros

Getting fired because this company is a joke. If you get a job offer from Cowan I suggest you take it just so you'll know the difference between a bad company and a good company and you'll really appreciate your next job! I would not stay longer than four months though.

Cons

New management in Atlanta very unprofessional an terrible communicator, no room for advancement, very hire turnover due to new management, search job websites such as Monster for current employee resumes and if they find yours they fire you, upper management from Baltimore will come into the office and none of them will introduce themselves they just go sit in a cube make some calls and that's it(saw this many times), change commission goals to keep employees from getting commission, unstable work environment, terrible benefits, I would be highly surprised if this office is still open in the next five years.

Pros

friendly coworkers dynamic fast-paced work environment decent base salary

Cons

The promised three month training program is more like a one week crash course in logistics sales. Do not expect to work your normal 8-5 work day. You will constantly find yourself coming in earlier and staying way later in an effort to maintain your position. Your morning will consist of lead generation which entails researching any US company who makes the grave mistake of importing anything from outside the US. After using your newly acquired magnum PI skill set, you will then be expected to attempt contact with the said decision maker countless times per day until either your phone number is blocked or your email address has been classified as spam. After countless rejections on the phone, you will find yourself lost in the abyss of cold calling for potential sales. You are afforded a 30 minute lunch break, which almost every single member of the team is forced to work through due to the responsibilities of the position constantly being expanded. The after lunch block will consist of the same tasks as the morning. Expect to receive the same type of rejection from similar "prospects." The job description promises you will receive a number of current clients, which is the equivalent of an unfortunate company who was put into the CRM database by a previous employee.
