Pros

Cox is very employee oriented which is good from one standpoint and bad from others. There is a definite culture that makes managing tougher than other places. Compensation is fair, but seems to get worse every year. Local management is pretty competent and consistent, national leadership, less so.

Cons

It is a high pressure environment, there is always pressure for the numbers. Sometimes the compensation is not commiserate with the pressure. Cox Business is to reliant on the cable part of the house for getting installs built in a timely manner.

Pros

Good Benefits including company-sponsored pension in addition to 401K match to 6 percent. Approximately $5,000 annual tuition reimbursement.

Cons

Medical benefits premiums and deductibles have risen sharply in recent years though. No longer offering free Cox services to retirees. Employees must have 25 years of continual service to receive medical benefits in retirement.
