Pros
The pay if you’re willing to sacrifice your time out side of the 7:30-5:30, weekends, and want to be constantly reachable as expected
Cons
I agree that crash is like every other corporate MSO, however it’s all military based thanks to the CEO’s background. And I do mean everything. It’s a corporation attempting to work as such but expects things to go down and to be taken like a military environment. If you question it? Well, you’ll be told to shut up and do the job. The good ol boy system really seems to be crash’s model within management and accountability? Never heard of that, well unless you step out of line then congratulations! You’re the scapegoat. I’ve sat on both sides of the table and neither have their benefits except exhaustion, isolation and stress. All jokes aside, this work place is extremely toxic and unsteady if you have the slightest bit of cognitive function. I would say a majority of the stores don’t run according to the crash model, so whatever new roll outs are initiated, that falls on you as the advisor/file owner. You have to use their vendors through parts trader, parts vendors on there decide daily whether or not they want to work with you based upon your charge account (heads up, it’s probably past due). Simply put, this is not the environment for experienced estimators. You’ll be exploited and then when you have reasonable boundaries and want to use your PTO or any other benefits, you’ll be coached on how they need you there(that’s after working a hail season working 6-8 for months straight. 7-2 on Saturdays) your time card will be messed with as well so don’t expect to be paid the hours your there either.
