Pros

There are good people and the discount

Cons

The company is not as progressive as they claim to be....the benefits are ok but in this day in age they only offer domestic partner benefits for same sex couples...Alot of companies out there already offer opposite sex benefits..2 weeks vacation considering the amount of work you do throughout the year is not enough....Lots of micro managing and a lot of thesenior management doesn't know how to speak to the sales associates and can be very condescending...not a respectful environment at times.

Pros

Good pay, great coworkers, lovely discount.

Cons

When it is time for the store to close, the store does not announce it to the customer. Instead employees must wait until customers 'get the hint' or finish shopping. That might be an hour after the store actually closed.

Pros

Crate has a family-like atmosphere, and generally employs highly-educated individuals (in terms of the retail industry). The company's benefits package is generous, and their training programs well-developed. It's a successful retail concept, with a proven-track record of excellence in merchandising.

Cons

Crate values tenure over all other job qualifications. Education and experience (with other companies or within other industries) seem to be unimportant as an evaluative function for promotion or placement. It can be quite frustrating and demoralizing. Generally, should you want to work at the corporate offices in more than an administrative capacity, you must start in middle management in the retail stores and work your way up.
