Overall Good Place To Work

Pros

Creative is unique. It's the kind of place where if you want to do something, even outside of your normal duties, you can usually do it. You can also become valued if you are good at your job. While the C-suite is a mixed bag, most of folks at the VP/Director/Senior roles are great to work for and with. It's a bit of a people-centered organization, and it's easy to feel valued and cared for as a an individual rather than just an employee. It has been a weird past few years, and the next one is a bit up in the air, but the company feels like it's getting on the right track, finally doing some necessary shedding. Right now, it feels like there are a lot of people committed to success and making it a good place to work.

Cons

The counter to the pro of being people-centered is that if you aren't keen on establishing interpersonal relationships, it can be hard to thrive at Creative. There's a lot of opportunity, but at least some of it is driven by personal connection.

Pros

I met really lovely staff there, most were junior employees who came in and then did leave within 1-2 years. I retained some great friends there. The projects can be interesting.

Cons

Creative is a family business and can be a very challenging environment to navigate. There are some staff who will never be held accountable there and the staff and projects suffer. I participated in meetings where staff yelled at one another, belittled others and these instances were reported to HR, but there is a lack of confidentiality there and people fear retaliation. There needs to be some large changes in staffing at senior levels. I enjoyed the work but really never was so unhappy with an organizations senior management.
