Cons

I waited to post to see if things would get better but it hasn’t. The company does not implement ABA. They deliver programs as if the my believe the child is incapable of progressing anymore then where he/she is currently at. You can tell that all they care about, the BCBA’s and supervisors, is getting a paycheck. There is no regard for the child whatsoever. I came from an excellent company; intense training, weekly visits from my supervisor, constant support during session was just a text away, this company offers none of that. They don’t care for their therapists. They see their therapist only as a way of getting paid from a clients insurance company, which is why they don’t put out any extra money to get the supervision/support that a BT needs. ABA is science and they don’t treat it that way. The clinical team just does whatever is convenient for them so they don’t have to work as hard. If they’re not going to do what’s best for the child, then they need to get a new career.

It is unfortunate to hear that opinion, as you had completed our 40 hour hands on and lecture based Registered Behavior Technician trainings, which are based specifically on ABA therapy principles, that we expect are implemented in the field, by our therapists. We disagree with your perspective with regard to our supervisors. All of our therapists, receive Therapist Feedback forms (“TFF”) during every overlap (these overlaps can occur multiple times a month) to ensure that therapists are provided with the opportunity to improve their performance, and grow in the ABA therapy field. Here at CSH, we pride ourselves on teamwork and communication. Supervisors have requested that, staff communicate their ideas, and based on the assessment from the Board Certified Behavior Analyst, we would see if the suggestions could possibly be implemented based on the child’s progress. We do agree, that with the best interest of the child in mind, not all suggestions were or can be implemented. Our current staff work diligently to improve our clients progress, and grow our team oriented therapists. We are eager to see our clients continue to reach their full potential by having our clinically-strong team behind them!

Pros

-management was available through email consistently to answer questions -feedback was given at least once a month through evaluation forms by each case supervisor -most of the families and kiddos were a pleasure to work with

Cons

-Hassle to take vacation (only approved if time taken was made up and hours were accrude) -there is A LOT of driving involved -high turnover, teams constantly changing -job is not for everyone -training to get started is three overlaps with a therapist and then on your own

Hi, I apologize that your experience at Creative Solutions for Hope was not great. We do let our employees take time off, but we do ask that you complete a Time Off Request at least 2 weeks prior to your vacation time. This is standard company protocol and that should have been made aware in your New Hire Orientation. In order to get paid vacation hours, however, you do have to accrue hours. Regarding the driving time, we ask all of our therapists where they are comfortable driving to during their interview. If the candidates says, Los Angeles County, then they may be scheduled anywhere across LA County, which is a large area. Other than that, we try to keep all of our therapists within a 25 mile radius of their homes. If you have any questions, please reach out to us at employment@cs4hope.com.

Pros

Awesome opportunities to grow within the company quickly. Management genuinely want to see you get promoted, so they will give you constant feedback! If you have any concerns, reach out to your supervisors and they will do everything in their power to help you! I felt very respected and like I was family to Asha and all the admin/supervisors/case managers/therapists! Creative Solutions for Hope will give you the best training, so you'll feel confident in your performance as a therapist. I'm so lucky that I have had the privilege to work for CSH. Thank you so much!

Cons

If you don't speak up... You will not see ANY changes. Be sure to speak up so that the company will know that you have some concerns and they will immediately help you! They want their employees to be happy.

Thank you for the review! We take pride in our family culture at CSH and upper management tries their best to support all of their employees in their growth here. They truly want to help you, not just as an employee, but as a person as well! If you want to see change, it is very important that you do speak up! Communication is so important here.
