Rapid growth environment, lots of room to make an impact

Pros

This is an exciting time to join Credit Karma, where things are just starting to scale and there's a lot of white space to make your mark and drive results. The people are generally smart and engaged in their work, and just fun to be around. Some teams function better than others, and some leaders run a tighter ship than others, but that is to be expected. Perks are great, and pay can be great (depending on your manager and if you negotiated).

Cons

There's missing organizational structure that can lead to confusion and lack of alignment, but it feels like growing pains and not a deal breaker.

Pros

The company is made up of some of the greatest people I've ever worked with. They're extraordinary people who push towards success without sacrificing the values and core identity of the company. The company itself has never lost its roots and the employees are constantly given examples of the senior level members keeping true to the company's roots. The company culture is always held in high regard by both senior level and regular employees. People not only follow it, but love to live it in their professional life.

Cons

It's easy to get lost at first because there is so much going on. It's most because Credit Karma is growing quickly, so it seems like a bit of a whirlwind at first. It's easy to get used to after awhile though especially because the people there try to help you get adjusted. If you don't like change, you might find view that as a con at Credit Karma. The growth in the company has caused a lot of changes and it seems like there are more to come. Things can be fast paced, but not at a sacrifice to stability.

Amazing potential, will be huge

Pros

- This company is going to revolutionize personal finance, and has a profitable business model as well. Its already very successful, and the potential is even bigger. - The culture is nice, almost so nice that the CEO had to push 'radical candor' as a topic - stark contrast to reports of aggressive cultures elsewhere in the valley. - The Engineering stack is being overhauled, and the future is bright for engineers who can pull through this period of transition and ambiguity, and are willing to innovate on top of that effort - Its a haven for big data and AI in a very interesting and lucrative space. Nuf said!

Cons

- Growth pains. The company has grown so fast in the last 2 years that structures are still being put in place, and talent is inconsistent. For ambitious folks, thats a good problem to have, and an opportunity to grow EQ.
