Pros

* Killer business model * Tons of opportunity to grow if you're motivated * Product actually makes a difference in people's lives * Great location on Market st.

Cons

* Too many projects and not enough focus * The foundation is changing while we're building new stuff; for engineering, lots of papercuts * Still in transition, learning to be a grown-up company

Politics hell

Pros

It was a promising company, the employees were valued. So a long time ago there were quite a few pros but now hardly any. Probably the salary is decent and the benefits were comparable.

Cons

The company is full of politics and inequality. A few old employees enjoy a lot and others sweat it out. One such member is totally insensitive and openly shows how they can slack off while expecting others to work hard for him. Someone who is ok with it will be fine. There are managers who create inequality openly, they speak about junior or under performing members in front of the smaller team in his/her absence and make it seem funny. While one person is made to look a hero, some others are made to look useless until you change your ways. The one-one meetings are usually meaningless as nothing comes out of it. The mid-level management is not doing any good to the company. I've had someone totally outside the team, tell me my personal stuff which I shared with my manager, it completely took me by surprise. There are a few good ones, which I hope the company can recognize and nurture and take back all the power given to a few greedy ones mentioned above. Some people are so fond of free alcohol, they get really drunk and drive home which is dangerous.
