Coulda been a contender

Pros

- Perks were good for the size of company. It's no Google or Facebook, but for a 700 person SF company, the perks were great. - Work/life balance was reasonable

Cons

- Politics, politics, politics. You will spend more days a week politicking then getting any work done if you want to survive. - Not really great at anything. Marketing, tech, innovation, none of those are hallmarks of Credit Karma. They found a product market gap, filled it, and rode that wave as far as it would take them. - "Leader"ship is focused on making themselves look good which is easy because most of the c-levels are easily manipulated.

It Could Be Great

Pros

Great culture, incredible CEO, product to be proud of, and great events.

Cons

I am severely underpaid. I am consistently made to feel disposable at any time. I don't believe there are many positive outlooks for developing a future here. There is a severe lack in transparency in decision making when it comes to upper management.

Poor Management

Pros

- Free snacks - Good perks - CEO seems like an awesome guy who cares about the employees - Some teams have a inclusive, warm culture, most don't though

Cons

- Very political. Senior managers are more concerned with pleasing other managers instead of supporting the needs of their teams. - Poor management has lead to a lot of promising talent leaving - Real lack of career development, with management more concerned with people filling necessary roles
