Toxic is putting it mildly for Marketing

Pros

Great perks. Massage, coffee bar. Closed during end of year holidays. Engineering focused culutre

Cons

Toxic management hires in marketing who were told by CEO she could do whatever she wants has driven off about 15 people in a few short months to be replaced with inner circle from previous employers, even hiring people who failed miserably during interview process. People live in fear daily for their jobs to be lost even if they perform. Cliques, gossip, lies and disgusting behavior are the norm. Someone said to me today, ‘I guessed the me too movement passed by this department’ because of the openly misogynistic comments endured regularly by one of the inner circle new hires hitting in young girls openly in office.

Beware communications, revenue, finance

Pros

Perks and office amenities are nice: free food, video games, pool table, adjustable standing desks, yoga Great feeling that random people know about and actually use our product Mostly everyone is incredibly smart and driven

Cons

Pay isn't competitive and benefits are still a work in progress Many leaders are ineffective or unqualified. Example: CMO, product marketing and recruiting leads. People also recruit and hire their old coworkers and quickly promote them at the expense of long-term or in-house people Culture is inconsistent across departments. Communications, revenue and finance teams have terrible retention because of poor culture and ineffective management

Pros

- Great in-office perks (coffee, spa, ping-pong, arcade [no lunch though unless you chain yourself to your desk]) - A few people are really passionate about their work - The CEO is a genuinely nice guy - base comp isn't bad

Cons

- In engineering hiring quality is all over the place - As another reviewer pointed out, more and more there's kill or be kill attitude - And yet another reviewer pointed out that the CTO reads private slacks. I thought that reviewer was just super-vengeful until I saw the CTO's non-denial response here on Glassdoor. wtf? - Not clear how the company is going to grow - It looks like the company is stuck with some executives that might not be best for hockey-stick growth at this stage of the company
