Great place w a caveat

Pros

Top guys running the credit investing side are incredibly good + thoughtful, which I think is whats enabled the firm to grow as fast as it has Unique effort is put into cultivating junior talent

Cons

Both types of "politics" (both #1 interpersonal/ego management and #2 political) #2 is prob not an issue if you lean more republican, but (speaking for myself) its been a sort of bizarre experience regularly hearing coworkers and certain seniors share fairly "out there" views along the lines of US covid policy being a conspiracy to hurt trump, trump actually won in 2020, vaccine skepticism, more recently pro-russia/putin and anti-ukraine sentiment, etc. If you are generally aligned with that persuasion or don't mind hearing it and keeping your mouth shut, then great place to work due to all the other positives

Great company overall, but Accounting is more concerned with Girl power than good work product.

Pros

Overall great company and people. Senior Leadership team has a great vision for company. Firm cares about its employees.

Cons

Accounting department is a clique / Girl Club (95% women). Accounting heads are more concerned with showing girl-power than getting a good work product and spreads rumors and talks trash about anyone not in their clique like a high school drama club. MULTIPLE really good employees have been pushed out the door or bailed for other groups because of this dynamic. Rest of firm and investment teams looks down on accounting because of this and openly mock accounting department.
