Pros

I’ve been with Crew for 10+ years, and what has kept me here is the opportunity for growth—not just in position, but as a leader. I started as a part-time associate and have grown into an Area Director role, which speaks to the real opportunity here. This is a company that invests in people development and gives you the chance to earn your way into bigger roles if you’re willing to put in the work. The culture is fast-paced, team-oriented, and built around accountability. When you have the right people in place, it becomes an incredibly energizing and rewarding environment. There’s a strong sense of pride in performance across teams, and success is recognized and rewarded. If you’re willing to be coached, stay accountable, and push yourself, there’s a lot to gain here.

Cons

This role is not for everyone. Expectations are high, and the pace can be demanding, especially during busy seasons. Work-life balance can be challenging at times, particularly for leaders who are still developing their ability to manage and delegate effectively. If you’re looking for a low-stress or low-accountability role, this likely isn’t the right fit.

Thank you for sharing your experience and for your more than 10 years of dedication to Crew. Your journey, from part‑time associate to Area Director, is a powerful example of the growth opportunities available here and our commitment to developing leaders from within. We’re proud to invest in people who are willing to be coached, stay accountable, and put in the work to grow both personally and professionally. We appreciate your perspective on our fast‑paced, performance‑driven culture. We know that high expectations and seasonal demands can be challenging, particularly for leaders who are still building delegation and balance skills. Ongoing leadership development and support remain key priorities for us as we continue to grow. Thank you as well for your advice around communication and leadership investment. Maintaining a strong culture at the Locations is essential to our long‑term success, and insights like yours help ensure we stay focused on what matters most, our people.

Best Job of my Career

Pros

I left the hospitality industry after about 10 years to work for Crew and I could not be happier with my decision! Crew promotes a fun, safe, collaborative, and all around enjoyable work environment. From day one I was given the support and tools I needed to be successful within my role. Each day I have been encouraged by my fellow managers and associates to put my best foot forward. I have found myself learning and lot and growing and I am very happy with the current path that I am on. Each day I am excited to go to work to put smiles on our customers’ faces and spend time with my awesome coworkers.

Cons

Only real con I have encountered is dealing with the weather. This is a year-round job in which you spend the vast majority of your shift outside. You have to be adaptable to all weather conditions - rain, snow, wind, sun, humidity, etc. Thankfully, Crew provides resources to assist in combating the weather such as popsicles and electrolyte drinks for the summer heat, and hot chocolate, coffee, and hand warmers for cold winter days. With safety being Crew’s number 1 value, several measures are in place to ensure team members can perform this job and serve our customers safely in all weather conditions.

Thank you for sharing such a positive and detailed review. We’re thrilled to hear that your transition from the hospitality industry to Crew has been so rewarding and that you’ve felt supported, encouraged, and equipped to succeed from day one. Creating a fun, safe, and collaborative environment where team members can learn, grow, and genuinely enjoy coming to work is exactly what we strive for. We appreciate your candid note about working outdoors year‑round. While weather can certainly be challenging, we’re glad you’ve felt supported by the resources and safety measures we put in place. Keeping safety as our #1 value, while ensuring our teams feel cared for in all conditions, is something we remain deeply committed to. Thank you as well for your advice to management. Consistent presence, support, and connection at our locations are important to us, and we’re grateful for your kind words and encouragement.
