      Public Accounting Is Not For Everyone

      Pros

      Younger employee base, Fast-paced deadline and client driven environment, opportunity for advancement of job title

      Cons

      Focus is on the chargeable hour rather than client service, you can basically kiss your social life goodbye. The reason there is an opportunity for advancement is due to the turnover rate.

      Crowe has a mixture of good team oriented people and others who are out only for themselves.

      Opportunity to prove yourself, support services, friendly environment, telecommute when you need to as long as you don't abuse it

      Cons

      There are many senior people who are in over their head and don't know how to run high growth practices. Unrealistic expectations. They used to be very transparent but not any more.

      Pros

      Staff level is a solid group of individuals, and really fun to work with, and that right there makes the dreadful busy season bearable. Crowe pays for everything, and I mean EVERYTHING!

      Cons

      Wayyyy to conservative for me, and I understand you'll have this at an accounting firm, but try to loosen up a bit.
