- Good pay - Skilled colleagues - Remote work possible - Cruise is one of the best companies in the self-driving cars industry

Cons

- Working on perception and machine learning implies undergoing extreme workloads. - Management sets impossible deadlines. Deadlines don’t take into account the estimated duration of tasks and team capacity. They are often set based on the next release date, and the team has to compress all the work in that time window. - Extremely stressed atmosphere which makes the work not enjoyable. People are too stressed to be able to enjoy what they do.

- Working with a lot of talented engineers - Machine Learning-first company - Solving a challenging problem with a clear strategy - Very competitive compensation package - Open to remote work - Riding a driverless trip is an eye-opening opportunity.

Cons

- Work-life-balance: very tight timeline with a lot of works to meet the timeline. - Sense of belonging: I don't know much about my colleagues beyond work-related issues. I hope that Cruise can create more opportunities for team members to know more about each other. - Some internal tools are difficult to use. After working for 1 year, I was still not sure how to use the tools properly. The tool may take a very long time to load the data.
