None lousy hours and horrible benefits

Cons

Seniority means nothing at this company. I had seniority over 5 other people in my department but they chose me as the person to be let go when the company was making massive cutbacks. I was the only man in the department so its pretty obvious that is the main reason they chose me.

Freedom to set your own schedule and work from home

Cons

Takes a long time to acquire client base and trust. Must be willing and able to take calls at midnight to solve problems. You are lucky to bring home half of your commissions after all is said and done.

Expensive benefits, spouses may not be added to the medical plan, no direct deposit (paper paychecks), paper time cards, meager raises (if you get one at all), out of date and unreliable technology/systems, substandard pay, extremely high turnover
