Pros

Decent pay through a turbulent time in the economy and stable work, great advancement opportunities if you are a non black minority. Very LGBT friendly and happy to advance females.

Cons

Despite having high ratings and outperforming my coworkers, I can not progress in my career here. I have been held in a lower position because I am too essential to the position, but haven't had any real increases in pay (if you value me show me with pay). Cummins touts itself as being a great employer, but when you look around and do the comparatives you will soon see they aren't even offering competitive wages anymore. More and more benefits are being taken away to inflate the bottom line and keep investors happy.

Pros

Salary, Development, Career Opportunities, Bonus

Cons

Company values not worth the paper they are written on and are only followed when they feel like it. There are plenty of promotion opportunities available but you will only get anywhere if you are not honest, you keep your opinions to yourself, you go along with everything you are told even if you dont agree, your face fits and you are in the right place at the right time. HR is very corrupt as a department, if you are not liked they will do all they can to get rid of you and the Senior HR Leadership do what they like without consulting Unions and Employees.

Pros

Very good environment for minority engineers (women and foreign nationals -of which I am one). Bonuses are generous (for Australia). Salary was above market rates (and more than I had originally requested). Management was very supportive. Dynamic environment with some very smart engineers that were amazing to learn from. Great training system for engineers to build professional knowledge. Six sigma program encourages engineers to start innovative projects with the support of management.

Cons

Tough, high-stakes deadlines. Loads of pressure to find solutions quickly in the event of a breakdown. High level of pressure on individual engineers when their skills are unique or in demand
