Pros

Very proactive about community and the environment. Good transparency from senior management's of the current conditions influencing the companies actions and in sharing the vision for the future of the company.

Cons

Little to no support from company for development and growth in non professional positions. No effective process for training at hire and beyond. There is a noticeable divide in how non professional roles are treated and the opportunities offered compared to other similar professional roles. Very demanding expectations for project deadlines. Old facility is need of repair.

The people I worked with were great. People were down to earth and willing to share information when and if needed.

Cons

Poor middle managment. Promotions here are very politcal - too much value placed on who you know and not necessarily what you know. HR leadership is awful.

Pros

If you like a rather laid back... slow moving..... secure job..... then this place is for you. Cummins does provide a good work /life balance to their employees.

Cons

Not the place to be if you want to be on the cutting edge of technology. Highly structured.....and process oriented. Feels like creativity is shunned a bit with all the structure. Cummins seems like it is a company that spends more time talking about doing something (proposals, procedures, presentations) than actually doing the work!!! At Cummins, your hands are so tied with what you can do.... and it seems everyone has a very narrrow job scope.... and they don't cross over into anyone elses.
