Cummins reviews

I was offered a very good job from Cummins late last year. I left my current job in order to accept it. On my last day of orientation Tim Solso spoke with our group. The economy and job stability was addressed. Tim stated that we would always be given a chance to perform before anyone would be laid off. 2.5 months later, which was mostly filled with training, I was laid off. My manager even told me it had nothing to do with performance since I was not there long enough. I guess I should have been more careful given the economy, but I didn't think that Cummins would dump money into me (relocation, training, etc.) just to lay me off a couple months later. It was really a lose-lose situation for both parties involved.

Constant management changes. Managers that are hired are trained by those under them and then review them according to what they "think" is acceptable performance with no knowledge of what the employee is really doing.
