Great company pre-acquisition - future uncertain
Pros
If you are reading this, you know Curam was acquired by IBM in December 2011. This review reflects my Curam Software experience before it was bought by Big Blue. Curam might be the best company any of us there 2000-2011 will ever work for. The key was that the senior execs knew what they were doing. Selling Curam for a big payday is partial proof of that, and I'd also point out all the Curam alums out there in senior roles at other places. If you worked here, you were lucky. If you got to work closely with the senior execs (particularly the top five) - you were exceptionally lucky - and I'll bet your career is rocketing!!
Cons
The company was loyal to people from the earlier days and some of them ended up with outsize compensation relative to their contributions. The company was so well run that this wastefulness was essentially irrelevant, however.
