We take these concerns to heart and this is certainly not the experience we want you to have or that we tolerate. Your comments about hostility are concerning and go against our company core values. Please know you can always talk to your manager, another manager you trust, or call the Curative and Ethics Hotline: 1-844-928-0621. You can remain anonymous if you wish. When it comes to communications—operating in a pandemic requires quick changes to adapt and we recognize that changes could have been communicated better. We are constantly trying to improve processes and procedures to make sure everyone gets the information they need.

Pros

Free lunch and snack. Amazing coworkers. High pay rate. Health insurance.

Cons

Everything else. Higher management doesn't have a clue what actually goes on in lab operations. The rules and policies they keep changing and implementing are clunky and ineffective. They would know that if they observed how lab ops worked, but they have a holier-than-thou mindset where lab ops are treated as the lowest on the ladder. They over-hired during the holiday peak and now since they are pivoting to vaccinations, had laid off half of the lab ops staff in mid-March. They broke the news in the guise of a town hall meeting. This company does not value loyalty or hard work, because they laid off some people who had been there since the beginning of covid testing. There were also pay issues especially during the holiday season where people are not paid the correct amount. HR/benefits kept promising a 401K (no matching) since the start of the year, but only implemented it after the lay-off. There is no room for advancement because the company would rather hire externally than internally. Nepotism is incredibly rampant and many people let their personal feelings dictate how they do things. This company is really an unprofessional mess. If anyone is considering working here with an hourly pay rate, don't get comfortable and expect that job to last, take whatever management promises you with a grain of salt. Make what you can from that job, and get out when another opportunity comes along.

Thank you for sharing and glad to hear you enjoy the perks of the job. Every member of the team is valued and the contributions made towards eradicating Covid-19 are greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, the pandemic is unpredictable, and we have had to react as new information is released and needs are defined. When reduced hours or layoffs are necessary, we have strived to make the transition as smooth as possible inclusive of extending additional compensation and benefits to those affected, when possible. 2020-2021 has brought unexpected changes to many companies and often required rapid shifts as new guidance is released. Some of it is growing pains, some of it is changes in mandates. Curative was founded during the pandemic, and we are constantly growing, changing, and adapting to be better.

Pros

Competitive pay, friendly coworkers, free food

Cons

Favoritism, nepotism, hiring bias, no room for professional growth. Management is extremely biased, favors certain employees over others, there is no room for growth at this company. Very hard to switch teams or expand skills. Often times they would hire people with no degrees or non-relevant degrees. Most of their employees could not even tell you what a virus is, you are better off working elsewhere.

Please know that our employee and management development is a priority for us and we are strengthening our approaches each day.
