There's lots of opportunity if you put in the work and hang in there.

Pros

Very fast paced work environment with a lot of opportunities if you are willing to put in the work. Chances to do different jobs than you were hired in for.

Cons

The industry ca be challenging and there can be ups and downs that can have an impact on morale. Need to be flexible in order to survive.

Pros

There was a fantastic team, I loved the atmosphere of the IT sector at AMRI.

Cons

I was the only IT intern at the time, so sometimes things got a little lonely.

Challenging but rewarding work environment

Pros

Competitive pay, but you need to advocate for yourself. Managers won't hand out raises - you need to display success and make sure you ask for raises when appropriate. The environment is relatively laid back, but expectations are high across the business. You will be asked to do quite a bit but will gain a huge amount of experience in the process. Great place to work for a few years on the way to somewhere else.

Cons

Managers are often good employees but not exceptional managers. You need to look out for yourself. Not the friendliest environment.
