Pros

I liked the people that I worked with. The salaries were good for the location (upstate NY).

Cons

Locations are not the greatest for quality of life. Management did not keep promises on hiring.

Pros

R&D is challenging and requires sharp analytical mind. However, there will be something new to learn everyday.

Cons

The benchwork generally is physically and mentally demanding. Expectations from managers are high. Personal growth and career progression are limited. Work-life balance can be achieved if one plans his experiments well.

Pros

Got to work on pet projects in my free time but there was little of that.

Cons

Worked long hours. In constant fear of being fired. Abusive managers forcing people to tears. All the smart people left.
