Casualty of Post-Acquisition Layoff

Pros

They increased our pay to what LakePharma should have been paying us...until they laid us off.

Cons

Curia acquired LakePharma in 2021 and made all kinds of promises about not downsizing or laying off any staff. Of course, they can't realistically promise this and only did it so that they could keep their staff from running off to new jobs before they laid them off themselves. I've heard there have been MULTIPLE rounds of layoffs at this point. The previous CEO was obsessed with the COVID vaccine and talked about it at every townhall. The new CEO has apparently doubled down on the firing and laying off. This company does not value it's employees enough to invest in them long term. Ever since the patent for Allegra expired they have been struggling to stay relevant.
