Pros

Close family like bonds formed with other team members, good staff benefits such as private healthcare and dental, events organised by staff groups such as raffles, advent calendars, quizzes etc… It seemed to me that the business itself was flourishing (as it should be for all the staff hard work) I appreciated the communication from the companies CEO on where the business was heading and the opportunity to ask any questions directly

Cons

Getting progression here was a constant battle. The schedule being rammed and lack of staff meant that opportunities to grow were few and far between as you were shunted from one job to another without time to think about training out new skills. This meant that only a select few could perform high tarriff tasks which caused difficulties if those staff were on holidays or sick. The attitude of senior staff if you had any concerns and voiced them (however politely) would not be looked on kindly. Management did not care one iota for your personal life. Overtime opportunities can be great for some, but never ending overtime which was basically unoptional led to burn out and a lack of a life outside of work. I have, in the past, witnessed management willingly putting their staff through a gruelling 18 hour shift if only to make money and please clients. Breaks also need to be revised. Especially if working in cleanrooms. Being in that environment for near enough an entire shift is unacceptable. Getting a break right at the start of the shift or right at the end means nothing.
