Pros

Great coworkers and direct manager, and overall interesting work. No barriers to working on remote teams - until now with forced return to office.

Cons

The culture has been dismantled over the past few years with a new CEO, investors, and leadership. The mission has stayed the same on helping students and teachers, at the expense of removing worker benefits, moving to India, forced RTO, and merging QA into Dev roles (deleting the role with stressful re-training), all while telling us to work harder for less pay and ignoring the added cost of employees returning to the office. Leadership couldn't care less about splitting up well-formed teams and putting remote and in-office workers into silos. This feels like a calculated decision to quietly remove remote workers and re-hire locally. CA isn't a global company; it's a company that offshores work. "Automation" is repeated constantly and barely understood, used to justify removing dedicated QA roles as if a test suite could replace the judgment and reasoning QA actually requires. Former CTOs and leaders understood that remote work is successful, but these new leaders are stuck in the old way of working. Leadership brought in executives knowing they'd be unpopular implementing these changes before leaving after a short period. Ultimately, the main mission has shifted from building high-quality products and caring what educators and students want to simply getting more districts and schools onto our products. They think AI and offshoring can make up for that.

Pros

The company started so strong and attracted high level educational professionals! The people I work with in the field are top notch.

Cons

Morale is so low now, a 20% pay cut does that. Those of yall applying for the newly posted Educational Consultant position, just know that you're being brought in to replace a highly professional team that has slowly exited in the last month due to pay cuts, extremely micromanaging managers, leadership that DOES NOT LISTEN to its people with actual action, and heightened expectations for productivity, AI usage and outsourcing quality. If you're cool with that environment, welcome aboard. The recent lawsuit doesn't make them look good either, curious about their future.

Pros

CA is a great company. I really appreciate how employee focused the company is and how important culture seems to be.

Cons

We stay very busy but there is room for better pay, considering the amount of work we all do. The pay at CA for inside sales is well below what other EdTech companies pay for the same or similar roles.
