Pros

Excellent benefits and many co-workers do care about their colleagues and about helping students and teachers.

Cons

Unrealistic work loads; inexperienced and disinterested middle managers; burnout; playing politics felt more valued than talent, work ethic and contributions to company. Non-managers/staff tossed from manager to manager. Big talk about wellness and employee health, but staff work long hours and cannot connect with unsympathetic and also overworked managers.

Pros

Today is my last day at Curriculum Associates, having worked for the company since 1979. During those 43 years, I have had the pleasure of working on challenging projects that kept me engaged and informed about the latest technologies and educational trends. Most importantly, I’ve had the satisfaction of knowing that the programs I helped to create had a positive impact on millions of students. The company’s biggest asset, though, is its workers. CA attracts smart, hardworking, and compassionate people. I’ve been lucky to work with creative colleagues who are dedicated to producing exemplary material for students and teachers.

Pros

Mission driven company that truly cares about students and educators. Has some great impactful products that affect millions. CEO cares about the employees and the company's overall health. Good benefits, and flexible schedules allow for picking up kids, working from home, etc.

Cons

Lots of improvement needed in process. Lots of top-down type of management. As a whole, a very top heavy organization. Less room for creativity due to how processes are set up. Everyone seems to be overworked all of the time. Priorities are very centered around immediate goals or problems and less about long term outlook.
