Amazing family of Engineers and Technicians. Horrible management and Questionable Company Direction.
Pros
Some of the most talented ethical detail oriented and skilled individuals who work together to do amazing things. The people around you care about you, their work and the customer's. Everyone is quick to make you part of the team and lend a hand!
Cons
Management is out of touch and unconcerned. They do the bare minimum. Unfortunately they leap to action only when faced with milestones and monthly revenue deficits. After 3yrs of repeated consultations from Senior Project Managers, Senior Engineers, and Senior Technicians they have failed to make any changes or corrections. The only forward progress addressing company issues were local manament promises they were ultimately unable to keep due to corporate decisions made by clueless upper level management. The company continued to make open ended promises or demands. When approached with problems or issues they should already be managing they strategically aren't able to help and expect smaller groups to continue to cary larger burdens alone. It is well noted these problems have been communicated to management for several years in fact several of our customers have stipulated in their contracts Curtiss-Wright shall maintain adequate staffing to supports their contracts. It appears their plan has been to milk the current customers until they decide to leave our company. A prime example each year since our company has become part of Curtiss-Wright we have grown in contracts and in profits while they downsized our staff and wouldn't replace any qualified individuals we lost. This resulted in us struggling and marginal results (Late reports, delayed testing, failed testing due to oversights, broken commitment dates). The results of which set everyone beneath them up for failure. As a direct result of this spiral. Commercial Grade and Equipment Qualification department is shutting down. A large number of Engineers and Technicians will be career-less come March.
