Pros

The firm is committed to using the incoming investment to grow the business which will provide opportunities for all. The Calgary office (in which I worked and helped build) hires high calibre people who are collaborative, supportive and generally positive. Overall job satisfaction and retention, while I was working at Curve, was good.

Cons

Management of the company has moved from Calgary to Atlanta which means that sometimes the Calgary office leadership team is unaware of higher-level decisions being made.

Our main product, Curve Hero, is a fully-featured web application that helps dental professionals manage and build a killer practice. We are the market leader, that one guy everyone wants to be. We believe in open-source and have a commitment to building quality code and awesome applications that push the envelope. If our people are thinking outside the box, our customers are pushing the envelope in dentistry, too. Curve is growing, and stretching, and exploring, and shining a flashlight in the corners to see what’s out there, which all means we have interesting, challenging projects that are meaningful for the dental profession - projects that require the right kind of person.

Cons

Full disclosure: I'm currently a member of the Curve Dental management team. If you're the kind of person who prefers to work outside of a team, then Curve is probably not the kind of environment you're looking for.
