Pros

The company has the potential to have a really cool product and engagement. They offer very reasonable salaries!

Cons

I couldn't in good conscience recommend this role to anyone seeking stability in their career development. As many other reviews pointed out it is an unorganized company. Upon being hired I was told there would be an onboarding process that never happened, and maybe never existed. my teammates were constantly scrambling to figure out expectations, reschedule meetings due to double and triple bookings, and interpret vague requests from the director. The director I worked under was erratic, from vague last minute request ...i.e requests being sent after work hours (9-10pm) to hostility towards myself and various different team members. This made for a stressful uncertain workplace. I was fired at the end of my tenure without cause and both the director and HR refused to provide me any feedback and there was no severance. This was unfortunate.

Pros

Cyclotron offered a strong learning experience, especially within the Innovation and Strategy team. The work itself was interesting, thought-provoking, and relevant to the current AI landscape. I had the opportunity to work on AI strategy and implementation projects across a variety of industries, including recognizable enterprise clients. I also worked with smart, capable coworkers who were genuinely invested in the quality of the work. For someone looking to gain more exposure to AI tools, consulting delivery, client strategy, and enterprise AI adoption, there are definitely valuable experiences to be had here. The benefits and remote-first culture were also positives.

Cons

The biggest issue is leadership alignment. There were frequent instances where internal leaders, managers, and sometimes even clients seemed to have different understandings of what had been promised, what was in scope, and what the team was actually expected to deliver. This created confusion, rework, and unnecessary friction across multiple workstreams. There also seemed to be a culture of defensiveness rather than accountability. When ambiguity or misalignment came up, the response often felt more focused on protecting teams or assigning blame than on learning, improving, and creating better operating practices. In consulting, some level of ambiguity is expected, but the lack of consistent alignment made the work environment feel reactive and unstable. The company also seems to be struggling to clearly define what it needs from its people in the current AI market. Several newer employees, including myself, were let go after a short period of time, which made it feel like leadership had not fully thought through hiring needs, team structure, or how to sustainably support the demand they were pursuing. Overall, Cyclotron presents itself with many of the benefits and language associated with modern tech culture, but the execution does not always match that image. There is a lot of emphasis on the future, the pipeline, and the demand for AI work, but less emphasis on reflection, process maturity, and sustainable growth.
