Pros

Strong support for the project from the management. Good resources and financial backing. CEO of the company gets personally involved in decision making.

Cons

Bound by check lists. Scope for innovation is very limited. Most of the technical resources is wasted in mundane things - like Spice models from the Foundry redone again. Not much team work.

Pros

Good place for junior engineers to become proficient in a variety of engineering skills. Coworkers are bright / skilled.

Cons

Management has a general disdain for the engineering ranks. Questionable pay practices. The mandatory bonus program holds 10% of your base pay hostage until the end of each quarter. Cypress only has to pay back 20% of the pay-in, So the "bonus" program sometimes turns into a quarterly pay cut. Check every paycheck. Mistakes are made regularly.
