Pros
DBR provides a variety of different MEP work, exposing an engineer to different areas where they can grow in their knowledge. The company also gets involved in the community. Most recently, employees from DBR participated in a trash pick up in the Houston area. The environment is friendly and people are always available for any kind of assistance. The benefits are great, and half days every Friday is a pretty good deal.
Overall, it's not a perfect company, but it has more positives than negatives and is a good opportunity for any aspiring engineer.
Cons
Training is an issue. It seems that there is little to no structure regarding how to train a less experienced employee. There also is at times a disconnect between management and the company. Both these issues are being addressed. There are no major negatives that are specific to DBR.
