Great team oriented culture in the SPED department. Leaders were helpful and always looking to make improvements to systems.

Culture varies by school, but district leadership assesses principal's ability to form healthy culture and replaces principals when necessary. My school's culture is much stronger under a relatively new person/ Salary is robust, better than comparable places, though not enough to work in a really challenging school with weak culture. (But great if you're at a well-run school!) IMPACT is allegedly controversial but I appreciate the opportunity for merit pay.
