      A thankless job finding your own joy is the only way to continue. For the most part you can do that.

      The evaluation and compensation scales are extremely contingent on how well liked you are by your administrators.

      -Excellent support from OT/PT department leadership -Good access to materials/not alot of expectations to buy own supplies -Unionized -Good amount of sick time -Schools assigned based on both preferences AND location so less travel between schools and likely closer to your home as applicable

      Cons

      -Highly litigious district, alot of time spent with lawyers telling you how to do your job despite not being OTs or even educators -The employee review system is overwhelming and easily biased -Mileage for travel between schools not covered -Indiivual job enjoyment based highly on what school(s) you are assigned to and the culture of the individual school

      --incredibly smart staff members and educators --solid strategic initiatives from the top down

      Cons

      --lacked organizational strategy and consistency --too top heavy with leadership roles --too political and bureaucratic --a lot of inequity across distrcit, as well as socio-economic politico-economic disparities
